In case you didn鈥檛 know, our goal here at the 缅北禁地 Group of Companies is to become Canada鈥檚 largest home improvement franchise network. Last week, we got one step closer to that goal and achieved something big 鈥� we officially sold our third franchise!听

As we continue to build franchisable, business-in-a-box solutions for entrepreneurs in the home services industry, we look forward to providing mentorship and support for our franchisees. By doing so, we鈥檙e not only able to help these entrepreneurs, but we鈥檙e also able to help bring premium home services to other communities.听

Selling our third franchise this past week was a thought-provoking experience. Our team sat back and reflected on where we started a mere 7 years ago. Our lofty dream of becoming Canada鈥檚 largest home improvement franchise network seemed much further away seven years ago than it does now.听

Hitting the big number 3 motivated and inspired our team to do more while also reminding us to be thankful for how far we鈥檝e come in the past few years.听

Let鈥檚 take a quick walk down memory lane.听

Franchise #1 – Five Star Holiday D茅cor Leduc

Our very first franchise was sold back in October of 2021, not even a year ago. We were able to bring to Leduc and area when we sold a franchise to Mike Stone. With a very short, busy season, Five Star Holiday D茅cor is an incredibly profitable seasonal franchise.听

Mike has been an amazing franchisee, and has had the pleasure of lighting up Leduc for the past 2 seasons. With mentorship from the 缅北禁地 Leadership Team, Mike has developed a successful business and lit up many homes in Leduc and area.听

Franchise #2 – Screen Savers Plus North Calgary

After selling our first franchise in fall of last year, our team was even more motivated than ever to expand our franchisable businesses and work with more driven entrepreneurs. Despite the plethora of challenges that came our way throughout 2022, our team pushed on.听

Earlier this summer, we sold our first Screen Savers Plus franchise to Tyler Scott! Tyler, a former screen technician here at , wanted to take the next step in his career. Looking for power over his own schedule, a fresh start, and an opportunity to grow a successful business, Tyler came to the 缅北禁地 Leadership Team expressing his interest.听

On June 1st, 2022, opened in the North side of Calgary as a mobile screen service. Tyler was able to take control of his time as a business owner and start a new chapter of his life down south.听

Although Tyler has only been servicing Calgary for a few months now, he has brought in twenty six five star Google reviews so far! That鈥檚 a lot of happy customers.听

Franchise #3 – Screen Savers Plus South Calgary

This August, we officially hit the milestone of three franchises! Max Fernandez, a Calgary based entrepreneur, decided to take the step and bring Screen Savers Plus to the southern region of Calgary.听

With high demand in the Calgary area, Max expressed his interest in expanding the brand in the wonderful city and can鈥檛 wait to help even more customers Bring in the Breeze. After officially opening on August 15th, Screen Savers Plus south Calgary is ready to rumble!

Max has a passion for bringing premium products and services to those in his community and is already looking forward to what the Screen Savers Plus business will help him do.听

“I decided to join the 缅北禁地 team because I saw a tremendous opportunity to bring value to the homeowner. The 缅北禁地 team has positively affected the community and I’m looking forward to being a part of this impactful initiative,” Max shared.

So, what鈥檚 next?听

Achieving the milestone of three franchises simply fanned the fire for the 缅北禁地 team. We can鈥檛 wait for three to turn into 33 and then 103 and then 3003. In fact, we鈥檙e working towards these next milestones each and every day.听

Each day, the 缅北禁地 team will continue to perfect and flush out our business processes and procedures. Every day, we鈥檒l get closer to our goal of being Canada鈥檚 largest home improvement franchise network. Each day, we鈥檒l work to find entrepreneurs who want to be able to run a profitable business from day one.听

Every day, we鈥檒l continue to expand our brands, excellent customer service, and premium solutions across Alberta, Western Canada, and beyond. Our goal may be lofty but we will achieve it.听

As we hit the halfway mark of this year earlier this month, we became nostalgic and reflective. We began contemplating everything that this year has brought for our company and for the seven companies in our group.听

At the end of the day, we have a LOT to celebrate from the past six months. We鈥檙e proud of the growth we鈥檝e had and of the agility of our team despite the unpredictable world that we now live in.

In today鈥檚 blog post, we want to share some of our biggest achievements from the first half of this year with you. There is no one better to celebrate with than the people who have made our successes possible: you! Thank you for supporting local, choosing us and our companies again and again, and for just being great.听

Now let鈥檚 do some celebrating!

Wins to Celebrate听

1. Hosted our first company BBQ in over 2 years

Company culture is incredibly important to us here at Mosaic. We don鈥檛 employ people, we add people to our team. We don鈥檛 just provide a job, we provide a career. Throughout the years, maintaining solid relationships with everyone on our team has always been a top priority for us.听

At the end of the day, our company and the companies that are a part of our group are all made up of people. Business isn鈥檛 business without people.听

The social restrictions and challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic brought about were very difficult for numerous reasons. However, one of the things we struggled with the most was not being able to cultivate company culture through our usual efforts.听

Prior to the pandemic, we regularly hosted company events including summer BBQs to provide our team members the opportunity to get to know one another. These BBQs were a no-work zone where games were played, discussions were had, and friendships were formed.听

After almost 2 years of not being able to host these events, we were finally able to bring them back in April of this year! We had so much fun eating with, chatting with, and hanging out with our team members, old and new.

However, bringing back our company BBQs represented so much more than just a BBQ. It represented our dedication to creating a positive, connected team. We鈥檙e so excited for future opportunities to continue doing this!听

2. Donated $17,530.19 to local charities

We鈥檙e sure you鈥檙e very familiar with our Charity of the Month program by now. This program was started in 2020 as a way to give back to the community that continues to support us. As a local company, we love supporting other local businesses.听

Nothing we do would be possible without our community. Therefore, giving back to the community is something that is very important to us.听

Since January of 2022, we have had the absolute honor of donating $17,530.19 to the following local charities and organizations:听

Not only have we had these 6 opportunities to give back to our community, but, as restrictions lifted, we were also able to see where our money was going. Donating is amazing but being able to meet the people we are supporting and chat with them about the initiatives we were contributing to was heartwarming to say the least.听

As we continue our Charity of the Month program, we hope to be able to constantly increase the donations that we make to our community. If you have a suggestion of a charity that we can work with, let us know on this page!

3. Expanded our Leadership, Marketing, and Customer Success Teams听

As the 缅北禁地 Group of Companies continued to expand through the first half of this year, we also expanded our teams.听

We added knowledgeable, hard working team members to our in-house Marketing Team, our Customer Success Team, and our Leadership Team so far this year! Hiring new team members to join these three essential teams has helped us to better serve each one of our amazing customers.听

New Leadership Role

Ghaida Daher, who originally started with the Miraculous Maids team, stepped up into a new leadership role. As the Cultivator of Brand Success, Ghaida has worked tirelessly with the Brand Managers for each of our seven home improvement companies.听

Ghaida is dedicated to improving processes, business practices, and services for each one of the companies that fall under our umbrella. She is a brand-oriented, hard-working person, and has been an excellent asset in our Leadership Team.听

We are so thankful for Ghaida stepping up into this new leadership role and helping each brand to improve. She is passionate about the teams succeeding and providing the best possible home services to our valued customers.

Additions to Our Marketing Team听

This year, we鈥檝e also made two new additions to our in-house marketing team. This team handles all of the marketing efforts for all eight brands. The Marketing Team, led by the amazing Kanishk Chadha, has successfully increased our lead generation significantly this year, helping each brand to succeed.听

Emma Dietze, (that鈥檚 me!) our Copywriter & Marketing Communications Specialist joined 缅北禁地鈥檚 Marketing Team in January of 2022. I have had the pleasure of word-smithing my way through the past 6 months, working on all kinds of marketing projects to improve the awareness of and conversion within the brands.听

Kaylee Yawney, a more recent addition to the team, has taken on the role of Social Media Manager & Content Creator. She has brought a level of uniqueness to our social media accounts and connects with our audience on another level.听

New Customer Success Team Members

Our Customer Success Team is our main point of contact with you, our valued customers. If you鈥檝e ever called any of our brands, you would have spoken with one of our amazing Customer Success Representatives.听

This year, we have had Megan Sawchuk, Sami Saragoca, and Alyssa Gueco join our Customer Success Team! These ladies have been amazing in their roles, helping to provide the highest level of customer service possible.听

Throughout the day, these team members, alongside the wonderful Sarah Mercier and our amazing Customer Success Manager, Tyler Jonah, work to create the best customer experience for you.听

Tyler Jonah just recently stepped up into the role of Customer Success Manager. He has successfully led this team to answer more calls and provide a higher conversion rate on sales than ever before.听

These team members take calls, create quotes, respond to emails, answer questions, book jobs, and more. We truly couldn鈥檛 do what we do without them! Make sure to tell them thanks for all they do next time you chat with them on the phones.听

4. Sold a Screen Savers Plus franchise to Tyler Scott & mentored him

This win was a really big one for the 缅北禁地 Group of Companies. In case you didn鈥檛 know, our goal is to become Canada鈥檚 largest home improvement franchise network.听

We took a big step towards that goal this year. On June 1st, 2022, Tyler Scott, our franchisee, officially opened the first franchise location of Screen Savers Plus in Calgary, Alberta! If you want to read more about Tyler and his journey with this franchise, feel free to .听

As Tyler took this step in his own entrepreneurial journey, we had the pleasure of mentoring him and coaching him. With business experience under their belts, our knowledgeable leadership team worked with Tyler to provide him the resources and support he needed.听

Watching someone who started as a screen technician for Screen Savers Plus Edmonton buy a franchise and take this profitable business model to Calgary has been incredibly fulfilling for our team.听

5. Watched the companies in our group succeed

Last, but certainly not least, we want to take some time to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our seven brands!听

As a parent company with seven home improvement brands under our umbrella, we see lots of challenges. However, watching our brand succeed and improve and grow this year so far has been amazing.听

Charity Day is a company-wide favorite day of the month. From the moment we all step into the office to the moment we leave for the day, the office is buzzing with excitement. Each month, we work hard to make as many sales as possible on Charity Day so that we can make the biggest donation possible to our chosen charity.听

Sage Seniors Association is based in Edmonton, AB and their mission is 鈥�鈥� With a vision of 鈥渁 community where all seniors are valued and have the opportunity to live according to their beliefs, abilities, and aspirations,鈥� Sage aims to empower and support seniors in our community. Through the services and information that Sage Seniors Association provides to Edmonton and area seniors, they help seniors to learn, socialize, participate and stay safe in the community, and they also advocate on issues affecting older persons.听

Here at the 缅北禁地 Group of Companies, we greatly value and support the seniors in our communities. We are very grateful for what Sage Seniors Society does in our community each day. We are privileged to be able to serve many seniors in our communities through many of our brands and are therefore very honored to be able to support the Sage Seniors Association this upcoming Charity Day.听

Our team is so grateful to get to work with such an amazing local association tomorrow, March 31st.
